Sparking Tradition With Invention

In keeping with this year's theme at the annual American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition (AIHce), traditional pre-expo symposia favorites are returning this year dealing with nanotechnology and clandestine methamphetamine laboratories.

The day-long event "Nanotechnology: Wonders and Worries" will happen Saturday, June 2 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and promises to instruct attendees on how to make informed decisions to protect workers exposed to nanomaterials by presenting case studies, particle exposure and measurement, toxicity, manufacture of particles, and more.

The following day "Clandestine Methamphetamine Laboratories: What is Known and What Can We Do?" will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and promises to inform participants about different types of methamphetamine manufacture methods, chemical exposures and their potential health effects for adults and children, remediation requirements, potential for litigation against the profession, and more.
