Russian Security Firms Eye DuPont's Nomex, Kevlar, Tychem

DuPont on Feb. 15 said its DuPont Russia unit recently participated in Interpolitex, an international security exhibition in Moscow that attracted more than 25,000 attendees. It is a leading forum for exhibiting modern armament, security systems, and equipment for the federal army, police, and law enforcement, DuPont said.

DuPont Advanced Fiber Systems and DuPont Personal Protection presented Nomex® fire-resistant protective garments for police and military personnel, Kevlar®, and Tychem® F coveralls for chemical protectionl the latter have been certified by the Russian Federation for chemical warfare agent liquidation, according to the news release.

It quoted Marina Danilova, a marketing representative, DPP, Russia: "Kevlar® is synonymous with reliable protection for state security forces and military. We offer our Russian customers a unique and innovative material that protects our society’s security."
