OSHA's Susan Harwood Training Grant program provides grants to nonprofit organizations to provide training and education programs for employers and employees on the recognition, avoidance, and prevention of safety and health hazards in their workplaces. OSHA selects the safety and health topics and holds a national competition to award the funds, and this year, in an attempt to level the playing field, the agency is offering helpful tips for improving the application process.

Nonprofit organizations, including community and faith-based organizations, that are not an agency of state or local government, are eligible to apply, as are state and local government-supported institutions of higher education.

Grantees will post their training products for a designated period and provide access at no cost to users. As additional training products become available, OSHA provides further links from its site. The training products are arranged by topic and grantee organization name.
