  • Aug 07, 2008

OSHA will focus on safety and health management systems during the 10th annual "Stateline Safety Workshop" slated for September 17 at the Holiday Inn Express, 3100 Wellington Place, Janesville, Wis.

OSHA's Madison Area Office, Beloit Memorial Hospital, Fairbanks Morse Engine, Frito Lay - Beloit, Heartland Safety and Health Education Center, JDN Safety Consulting, and Lab Safety Supply are jointly sponsoring the safety day workshop.

Employees, managers, human resource directors, and safety and health professionals are encouraged to attend the workshop to discuss workplace safety and health issues such as ergonomics, substance abuse, electrical safety, and contractor management. General OSHA information also will be made available to attendees.

"This conference is a great opportunity to help those representing small- and medium-sized businesses to come together and get current safety and health information that will help prevent job injuries and protect their employees," said Kimberly Stille, OSHA's area director in Madison.

The daylong event will open for registration at 8 a.m. CDT and continue with workshops and breakout sessions until 4 p.m. Vendors also will be at the event.

Reservations will be taken on a first come, first-served basis. The $59 fee for the workshop includes all-day sessions, handouts, lunch and refreshments. Registration and additional information may be obtained by contacting Sally Smart at s.smart@lss.com or 608-757-4822.
